Gameweek 26 is set to be the most exciting weekend of football since... Gameweek 25.
Sunday sees the top four face off against each other to the greatest extent that four teams can play each other in two matches.
Saturday promises to throw up bundles of Fantasy Football pointsies as the shoddy defences of relegation scramblers Villa, Norwich and Sunderland face the potentially potent attacks of Liverpool, Wham and Man Utd.
It's time to make some tough decisions with quasi-Gameweek 27 just around the corner. How will your squad deal with a stunted fixture list sans City, Looperville et al.?
Limber up. Get ready. Shit's going down.
Buy Low
Jesse Lingard (4.3) -- Man Utd | SUN (A)
This one goes against the cardinal rule of FPL - No Manchester United midfielders - and I fully expect it to come back and smashmouth me in the face like a boomerang-shaped crocodile or a popstar-adorned wrecking ball but I just can't help it. He's cheaper than an anonymous dig on Twitter, has finishing like Benedict Cumberbatch and has started four games on the trot for a United side who have finally started finding the onion bag. Kablowie.
Sell High
David Silva (9.9.) -- Man City | TOT (H)
Dave Wood's my favourite Iberian cat. Y'all know dis. I preach dis. He's picked up a knockety knock, doe and aside from a tasty twelver in the 4-0 against Palace, hasn't had a DDG (double-digit-Gameweek) since week 2. City's star-studded midfielders are dropping like flies, or playing like fat guys, and while City have a good record against Spurs, they're absent from GW 27. Silva has to go. He's not the wood you want.
You want Mario mushroom chopping board wood.
What? Did you think I was going to say something dirty?
Fool's Gold
Christian Eriksen (8.5) -- Tottenham | MCI (A)
Spurs are flying high at the moment and their tick tock Dane has been present, of that there's no doubt. Has be been orchestrating their success, however? No. Any Lilywhite will tell you their main midfield maestro's been out of sorts this season - it's Alli (5.9) who's been the real star, and represents a much better and cheaper option for Spurs coverage. Sure Eriksen takes free kicks but he hasn't scored one in a while. He's off corners (Lamela's now in charge) and lost pen duty to Kane. His brace against Sunderland included a significant dollop of luck and aside from that he hasn't scored since early October. And 8.5? That's more than Payet or Firmino, whom I love.
Don't be like this guy on Valentine's Day. Pick Payet; get love.
Bargain Basement
Cameron Borthwich-Jackson (4.0) -- Man Utd | SUN (A)
Another United player? Are you being for srsly Mr Bantasy? Well yes, as a matter of fact. Sunderland are on a roll (downhill) and LVG's new marauding full-back is everything poor old Luke Shaw was too injured to be. With an assist and a couple of BPs for good measure, you can bet your left Borthwick that CBJ will be in every template team going forward.
